The "Spaced" dream
So it started by me and my girlfriend going to a London suburb to check out a shop for my Mrs' bakery business (spongefingers.net if you're interested or find it on Facebook) and I spotted Jessica Stevenson in
the local corner shop/mini mart. She was having a poke about in the fruit and veg section. As she bent down to tickle a lettuce I noticed Simon Pegg standing behind her. I nudged the Mrs and nodded towards where I was staring and, being a nosey cow, she said we should see where they go. So we followed them down the street and through various side alleys and we came to a street FULL of tudor style buildings, all black beams and whitewash.....it was like we had suddenly arrived in Chester or Salisbury! They ducked into another little shop, which had a lovely old fashioned shop window, and it turned out to be a comics shop.
Being a fan of comics and the fact that this shop happened to be on the opposite side of the road as to where my Mrs' shop was to be, I headed in and left the girl friend in the hands of the Estate Agent and group of her friends that had turned up.....odd!?! Anyway, in the shop, I had been distracted by a bunch of new comics and had proceeded to sit on the floor and have a read of them. As I sat there, who should sit by me but Jessica Stevenson!! She was interested in the comic I was reading and we got chatting about the new releases and who her favourite hero was blah, blah, blah....all sounds VERY dull but I assure you in the dream we were having a great time! Anywho...I had noticed that Simon was standing behind her and was bobbing about like he had to be somewhere and said "If we dont get this shopping done we are gonna be late!" to which she got up and said goodbye and I went across the road to find out about the shop.
As I got to the shop and turned the black handle of the black wooden framed door (the handle was old and sticky!) I saw that my girlfriend was pointing out where counters and tills will be going on one side of the room and on the other, her friends were sat on the floor in a group, silently following her hand as she pointed out her plans....however, when the door closed, silence fell on the shop and they all looked at me..........well more THROUGH me but you kow what I mean. I told them about my expolits and who I was talking too but they didnt seem very interested in all that and I got told to sit down and listen to what was being said.
As I was sitting there I noticed the shop over the road had closed and the owner was leaving in his car. I also saw in the window that there were people still in the shop?!?!?! It was Simon Pegg & Jessica! It looked like they had just taken too long and the owner lost patience and closed up with them still shopping.... I couldn't really do much and a few minutes later I heard Police sirens and another car stopping out the front. The Police had been called by Simon and the owner was persuaded by them to let the two stars out! I saw them being let out and the owner being apologetic and then getting hit by a lettuce!
Then I woke up......
